France 2023 Highlights

Our first group project was to build a stage for the new Simply Church auditorium. We built-up and leveled a portion of the floor, then laid insulation.

Adding a stage Step 1: Add dirt and sand to raise up the ground.

Adding a stage Step 3: Add insulation to the level dirt/sand.
Adding a stage Step 4: Show off them muscles
Adding a stage Step 5: Lay down tubing for in-floor heating (with warm water)
Adding a stage Step 6: Mix cement
Adding a stage Step 7: Pour it over the tubes onto the stage
Adding a stage Step 8: Flatten the cement with a homemade screed, and paddle it smooth.
Adding a stage Step 9: Repeat until your body gives out (or you finish)
Adding a stage Step 10: get someone to stay behind and finish the last fiddly bits while you hose the cement off of yourself….

These were two days of HARD work, and the kids completely ROCKED it. The stage looks great!
