God’s provision often goes well beyond our own abilities. Thank you so much for praying and giving for Chester’s sister Noelle and her family. We’re not sure how much more will be needed, but we have already sent the funds God provided through you, and we are continuing to watch for ways we can help out.
Last weekend the Harris family left their home in northern Uganda — a 7-hour hired car ride to the capital, followed by a 14-hour bus to Nairobi, Kenya. After more than 24 hours of travel, they arrived to discover their reserved Airbnb was a scam. Thankfully, friends who were also evacuating from Uganda took them in for the night while they sorted things out.
God provided: a 17th-floor apartment (that actually exists!) near those same friends, where they’ll spend the next three weeks. They are thrilled about having a great view, access to a washing machine, an indoor playground, and even a small pool.
Your gifts are helping with the cost of their 21-day stay. Things are not fully worked out, so please continue to pray for their U.S. Embassy appointment on June 18th — specifically that the government bond requirement would be waived and that their paperwork would be processed quickly.
