Tecate 2023 – recap (part 3)

Our first “disaster” occurred within a block of leaving – the trailer containing our supplies had a flat tire!

The tire had been low the night before, so we had attached a little travel air compressor to it. It took so long to inflate that we forgot about it…. Then in the morning, we drove off with it still attached to the tire!

The tire was ruined (wrapped around the axle), but we were so close to “home” that we went back for a spare wheel, and drove with that instead. We found the tip to the air compressor hose still in the wheel, and it was good as new despite having been dragged up the street.

In all of our travel (six days of driving!) that was our only incident. God answered your prayers for protection!
