He’s still Faithful

This summer, we’ve been watching our kids plan and execute their own “Project 4 Missions”.  We’re surprised at the suspense and adventure it is for us!  We’ve watched nervously as they (and we) barely succeeded in letting people know the need and how to partner.  They have been too caught up in serving at camp to really follow-through on fundraising ideas, and have hit a dozen small roadblocks.  We’ve wondered whether they really should be attempting such a thing, and prayed that God would come through for them.

And God has come through and is choosing to provide.  After our weekend of fundraising events two weeks ago, we watched as God took the offering of a few loaves and fish and grew it to enough to book tickets.  We watched prices skyrocket when we tried to book their flights, then God opened a door to one option within the budget.  And now they’re ready to leave in a little under three weeks.  The trip is 86% funded, and we’re rejoicing as we watch God open the doors.

This week the kids are serving a Glad Tidings Bible Camp (Eva), and Camp Witness (Moriah) and also getting shots for yellow fever.  They and we are starting to wrap up the other details (like getting prescriptions for malaria medicine and visas to enter Uganda).

Thank you for praying, thank you for supporting us and them.  Truly God has been faithful!

Happy Independence Day – a glance through the history of our nation will lead you to the same conclusion.  Truly, God has been faithful to all generations.

Let’s take the time to appreciate His faithfulness to us through time today, and know that His faithfulness is still there for the next generation too!
