It was a super special treat to take outings to nearby scenic places. One Sunday afternoon/evening, we visited the Pont du Diable, or “Devil’s bridge”. It was constructed by Benedictine monks in the first half of the 11th century! The kids loved jumping off the cliffs into the river, and I loved hiking with my mother in law and the cold, clear water.
