If you’ve known us for very long, you’ve probably noticed that we seem to have chronic problems with cars. We sometimes feel like it’s the devil’s favorite way to attack us, and have come to almost expect lots of car problems near missions trips. It’s an effective attack, because it requires time and energy at an inconvenient time, and often makes us feel disheartened and discouraged.
A few months ago multiple friends of ours let us know that they had begun praying that God would provide a reliable car or two as replacement for our always-breaking cars.
And God answered their prayer with a yes! A generous supporter decided to replace their Toyota Rav 4 and offered to sell us their “old” (2019) one at a very reduced price. We jumped on it, thanking God and them, and are now the owners of a really nice car!
We “broke it in” by taking it camping last weekend, and Chester even built a bed in the back of the car to serve as our camping bed. We can say that it is a perfectly serviceable bed (though ours at home is better since you can sit up). So far the car is a huge blessing and we pray it will serve us well for a long time.
