We had a wonderful time at Glad Tidings Bible Camp for the preschool Bible camp! Under the direction of Eva, the staff was terrific, handling twelve preschool aged campers with care and skill. Chester cooked for the camp, and I (Amy) taught chapel according to the year’s theme: “Into the Light”.
Together we learned about God providing a pillar of light for His people in the desert; Jesus declaring He is the light of the world; Jesus giving sight to a blind man; and King Josiah finding God’s Word in the temple (linking it to “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path); and finally “Let your light shine before others” from the Sermon on the Mount.
The kids had an absolute blast! They built forts from cardboard, played games inside and outside, enjoyed the camp playgrounds, and loved spending time with each other and their cabin leaders.
It was a joy to see the little ones learning God’s Word and having fun together. We are grateful for everyone who made this camp such a success!
