This week, we completed Amy’s aunt’s mobile home floor replacement in Michigan! Our crew included Chester, Amy’s parents (Ken and Pat), homeowner Marcia, missionary Stephen, and, occasionally, Amy and local retired contractors Ken, Conrad, and Dan. Special thanks to Ginger (Stephen’s wife) for hosting and cooking delicious meals all week!
What We Accomplished:
- Removed four types of old flooring throughout the house
- Replaced subfloor in front bedroom and bathroom
- Moved furniture and removed/reinstalled doors
- Removed old baseboards; installed new, nicer ones
- Repaired bathroom plumbing and toilet
- Installed new subfloor and flooring in all rooms (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen)
- Replaced trim in the main living areas
- Reinforced sinking section of house structure
- Repaired damaged exterior wall
- Built a missing cupboard side
