Italy Summary – part 3

Our third project in Italy was to take an outbuilding (That was currently in use as a storage shed) and convert it to a space that could be usable for hosting guests or for a home office.  We set out to clean out the building, then add electricity for lights and outlets followed by insulation and drywall.

What we completed looks unfinished, but met the requirements – they planned all along to NOT have us do the floor or paint the walls, because they can find local labor to do those bits.

One thing we try to do on every major trip is to include a little bit of time for relaxing and visiting new places.  This trip included a few hours Sunday afternoon to be tourists in the medieval city of San Gimignano.  It was gorgeous, and we had the luxury of enjoying sorbet from a local sorbet-maker.
